About Earthbeat
In 1993, a group of passionate individuals envisioned a non-profit organization dedicated to giving back to the community. In that moment, Earthbeat was born, igniting a volunteer revolution. What began as a one day event where hundreds of youth and young adults dedicated their time to serve the Rockford and Stateline region grew into a powerful movement for change.
Today, as we emerge from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need to reignite that volunteer spirit in this generation has never been more critical. Our goal is to empower young people to become leaders in their communities through environmental stewardship and habitat restoration.
Over the years, Earthbeat volunteers have made significant contributions, partnering with community based organizations, schools, the Rockford Park District, Winnebago Forest Preserves, and other natural habitats throughout the region. Through the generosity of corporate partners like you, we are able to not only mobilize these young leaders but also provide financial support to local youth-focused non-profits.
This year, we are excited to launch our volunteer initiative on October 29th with a major project in partnership with the Winnebago County Forest Preserve. Together, student volunteers will plant trees, remove invasive species, gather native seedlings, and clean up debris at Blackhawk Springs Forest Preserve.
By doing so, we aim to:
- Foster a spirit of volunteerism in young people
- Empower youth to serve their communities consistently
- Support local municipalities and organizations in achieving environmental projects that would otherwise go uncompleted
- Raise awareness and promote environmental care
- Provide financial assistance to youth-based non-profits to continue their important work for students and the broader community
We invite your company to invest in the future of our youth and students by supporting Earthbeat. Your generous donation will help us promote volunteerism and environmental service, while providing critical financial resources to youth non-profit organizations.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a lasting impact. For more information on Earthbeat and how your company can get involved, please contact us. Together with this generation, we can build a brighter, more sustainable future for our communities.
Sincerely,
Dr. Judy Bethge
